• 1 Styrofoam cone (size: 2-3/8-inches by 3-7/8-inches) for the base of the tree
• Approximately 75 to 100 large sequin leaves
• Small beads
• Green paint
• Paintbrush
• Glue (clear)
• Embellishments of your choice (optional)
• Star (optional)
1. Paint Styrofoam cone green. You may use another color to cover the Styrofoam.
Note: Portions of the cone will be seen between the sequins that will be attached later on. Let the paint dry.
2. Glue sequin leaves on the cone, starting from the base and working your way around evenly.
3. Once the first layer is completed, start a second layer about 1/4-inch above the first layer of sequin leaves. You may want to stagger the leaves for better coverage. Continue to glue the sequin leaves until you reach the top. The entire cone should be covered in leaves. Let the glue dry.
4. Add beads or other embellishments to decorate your tree.
5. You may add a star or any other embellishment to decorate the top of the tree. Set your tree out as a great decoration for a table or shelf around the house.
Optional: To make an ornament, glue a piece of ribbon to the top of the tree. Attaching a ribbon will allow you to be able to hang your ornament.
