Hawaii Children's Discover Center celebrates its 14th year with one dollar off admission, a holiday faire featuring fresh baked goods, local crafts and more with proceeds benefitting the Center's educational progams. It's also the last day you have to visit the Dinosaurs: Land of Fire and Ice exhibit that proved popular with blogger Ashley de Coligny's family.
$9 general admission, $7 for kamaaina and military with ID, $5 seniors, children ages 1 and under free.

The Pearl Harbor boat rides are sold out, but your little ones can still see boats done up in holiday lights at this annual favorite at the Hawaii Kai Marina waterway. Live entertainment begins at 4:30 p.m., award-winning Maunalua performs at 5 p.m., the parade begins at 6:15 p.m. Get there early; the first 1,000 receive a free light-up pin.

Live music, holiday crafts and an appearance by the big man himself are the highlights of December's Family Day at the Honolulu Museum of Art. Decorate 3-foot tall cardboard gingerbread men and 4-foot tall "gingerbread" houses. Snack on chicken, ham, hot dog and furikake rice bentos to live entertainment by teen singer Haley Kagimoto and get ready. Santa appears 11:10 a.m. - 12:15 p.m., then again at 1 and 2 p.m.
