Sweat & Sip – Valentine’s Week Edition

Saturday, Feb. 17, 9 a.m.

Work out with Joy Bitonio of KOMO Studio and Jono Blodgett of Mauka Makai Fitness, participate in a cold plunge challenge, socialize and sip on a complimentary cocktail and listen to live music by DJ Miko. Complimentary self and valet parking will be available. Bring your own yoga mat, water bottle or towel as well as swimwear or a change of clothing for the cold plunge. The first 30 arrivals receive a swag bag upon check in. Proceeds benefit local nonprofits like Make A Wish Hawai‘i, Honolulu Museum of Art, Sustainable Coastlines, Auenue School and Hawai‘i Community Foundation.

Symphony of the Hawai‘i Forests

Thursday, Feb. 15, 6 to 7 p.m.

Under the direction of maestro Dane Lam, the Hawai‘i Symphony Orchestra presents the world premiere of an interactive concert that brings together music, art, science, hula and storytelling. The six movements in the symphony, composed by artists with Hawai‘i musicians, interweave stories to encourage appreciation for Hawai‘i’s native forests. Each work will have a blend of animation inspired by keiki artwork, narration by singer Starr Kalahiki and a hula performance.

Archives Uncorked: Ho‘oulu Lāhui

View archival collections that pay homage to King Kalākaua, see a display of historic objects from the 1881 World Tour and explore the menu of Kalākaua’s celebrations. Tickets include includes a tour, a charcuterie cup, glass of wine (or beverage of choice) and a swag bag.
